Avocado Dips | Everyday Food with Sarah Carey

Apparently there’s some sort of big football game coming up, right? So, this week I’m going to be making crowd-pleasing, easy-to-serve food that’s perfect for a watch party. Whether you’re going to be watching the game or the newest episode of “Downtown Abbey,” well, that’s up to you!

Sarah’s Tip of the Day:
I’m starting with two awesome avocado-based dips. One is chunky, one is smooth, and both will make guacamole a distant memory at any party. For the Avocado and Feta Dip, you’ll need avocados and feta (obviously), plus a scallion, a red bell pepper, some fresh dill, and lemon juice. To make the Avocado and White Bean Dip, you’ll combine avocados with cannellini beans, garlic cloves, fresh parsley, white wine vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Watch the video, and I’ll show you how to make BOTH of these dips (hey, you might just want two!). Plus, I’ll demonstrate the easiest way to pit an avocado and my favorite, super-efficient way to dice it up without making a mess.
